“But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people shall stone us, for they are persuaded that Yoḥ
“But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
And wishing to kill him, he feared the crowd, because they held him as a prophet.
“But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the crowd, for all hold Yoḥ
And seeking to lay hands on Him, they feared the crowds, seeing they held Him to be a prophet.
But they said, “Not at the festival lest there be an uproar among the people.”
And they were seeking to seize Him, but feared the crowd, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.
“And you, child, shall be called prophet of the Most High, for you shall go before the face of יהוה to prepare His ways,
And they debated among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He shall say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’
And they answered that they did not know from where it was.
But the Pharisees and those learned in the Torah rejected the counsel of Elohim for themselves, not having been immersed by him.
And many came to Him and said, “Yoḥ
Then the captain went with the officers and brought them, not with force, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
