Waters flowed over my head; I said, “I am cut off!”
And He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are all the house of Yisra’ĕ
And I said, “My strength and my expectancy Have perished from יהוה.”
The cords of death surrounded me, And the floods of Beliyaʽ
Let not a flood of waters overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up, Nor let the pit shut its mouth on me.
And I, I have said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes,” Yet You heard the voice of my prayers When I cried out to You.
or darkness, so that you do not see, and a flood of water covers you.
Your fierce wrath has gone over me; Your onslaughts have cut me off.
He was taken from prison and from judgment. And as for His generation, who considered that He shall be cut off from the land of the living? For the transgression of My people He was stricken.
