And the men of Ephrayim said to him, “What is this you have done to us by not calling us when you went to fight with Miḏ

And see, all the men of Yisra’ĕ

And all the men of Yehuḏ

For wrath kills the fool, and envy slays the simple.

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up displeasure.

And I saw that all the toil and skill of the work bring envy between man and his neighbour. That too is futile and feeding on wind.

When Ephrayim spoke there was trembling, he was lifted up in Yisra’ĕ

and he said to them, “What have I done as compared with you? Are the gleanings of Ephrayim not better than the grape harvest of Aḇ
