‘While Yisra’ĕ
“Stand by the way and watch, O inhabitant of Aroʽ
“And having destroyed seven nations in the land of Kena‘an, He gave their land to them as an inheritance.
‘Arise, set out and pass over the wadi Arnon. See, I have given into your hand Siḥ
“From Aroʽ
“And יהוה said to me, ‘Do not fear him, for I have given him and all his people and his land into your hand. And you shall do to him as you did to Siḥ
“And we put them under the ban, as we did to Siḥ
Yehoshua fought with all those sovereigns for a long time.
Siḥ
and ruled in Mount Ḥ
and all the cities of Siḥ
and their border was from Aroʽ
Ḥ
And it came to be, a long time after יהוה had given rest to Yisra’ĕ
And they crushed and oppressed the children of Yisra’ĕ
and the land had rest for forty years. Then Othni’ĕ
And on that day Mo’aḇ
“So do all Your enemies perish, O יהוה! But let those who love Him be like the sun rising in its might!” And the land had rest forty years.
