Have you seen a man wise in his own eyes? There is more expectancy for a fool than for him.

Then the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people came together at the court of the high priest, who was called Qayapha,

But he did not say this from himself, but being high priest that year he prophesied that יהושע was about to die for the nation,

as well as Ḥ

Where is the wise? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Has not Elohim made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Yet we speak wisdom among those who are perfect, and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are being brought to naught.
