What is man, that You should make him great, that You should set Your heart on him,
Yet on such a one You open Your eyes, and bring me to right-ruling with Yourself!
“Would a strong man be of use to Ě
how much less man, a maggot, and a son of man, a worm?”
Am I the sea, or a sea monster, that You set a guard over me?
יהוה, what is man, that You should know him? Son of man, that You should think of him?
What is man that You remember him? And the son of man that You visit him?
Yet You have made him a little less than Elohim, And have crowned him with esteem and splendour.
But somewhere one has witnessed, saying, “What is man that You remember him, or the son of man that You look after him?
“After whom has the sovereign of Yisra’ĕ
