Look, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, while you searched out what to say.

A rich man is wise in his own eyes, But the poor who has understanding searches him out.

The first to state his own case, seems right, Until another comes and examines him.

And because they were years older than he, Elihu had waited to speak to Iyoḇ

And they waited for me like the rain, and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

To me they listened, and they waited, and kept silence at my counsel.

Look, this we have searched out, it is so. Hear it, and know for yourself.”

Therefore I have said, ‘Listen to me, let me also make my opinion known to you.’

And I paid close attention to you. But look, not one of you proved Iyoḇ
