And he heard the words of Laḇ

and lay your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the wadis,

For when he dies he takes none of it; His wealth does not go down after him.

“See the man who did not make Elohim his strength, But trusted in his many riches, Being strong in his destruction.”

Do not trust in oppression. And do not become vain in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.

The rich man’s wealth is his strong city; The ruin of the poor is their poverty.

He who trusts in his riches falls, But the righteous flourish like a leaf.

Lest I become satisfied and deny You, And say, “Who is יהוה ?” And lest I be poor, and steal, And seize the Name of my Elohim.

Thus said יהוה, “Let not the wise boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty boast in his might, nor let the rich boast in his riches,

“By your great wisdom, by your trade you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches.”

And יהושע, looking around, said to His taught ones, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the reign of Elohim!”

And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: whoring, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed of gain, which is idolatry.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, by longing for it, have strayed from the belief, and pierced themselves through with many pains.

Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living Elohim, who gives us richly all for enjoyment,
