he lays up, but the righteous puts it on, and the innocent divides the silver.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
For He gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His eyes. But to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and collecting, to give to him who is good before Elohim. That too is futile and feeding on wind.
He who increases his possessions by interest and profit Gathers it for him who shows favour to the poor.
or with rulers who had gold, who filled their houses with silver,
He shall not be rich, and his wealth shall not rise, and his possessions shall not overspread the earth.
His sons seek the favour of the poor, and his hands give back his wealth.
He is giving back what he laboured for, and does not eat it – like wealth from his trade, but he does not enjoy.
Though he heaps up silver like dust, and lays up garments like clay –
