Job 22:19

The Scriptures 1998

The righteous see it and are glad, and the innocent mock at them and say,

Upright ones are astonished at this, and the innocent stirs himself up against the defiled one.

If the scourge slays suddenly, He laughs at the trial of the innocent.

The straight ones see, and rejoice, And all unrighteousness shuts its mouth.

Let Mount Tsiyon rejoice, Let the daughters of Yehuḏ

And let the righteous see and fear, And laugh at him, saying,

The righteous rejoices when he has seen the vengeance, He washes his feet in the blood of the wrong,

The righteous rejoice in יהוה, And shall take refuge in Him, And all the upright in heart praise Him.

Tsiyon shall hear and be glad, And the daughters of Yehuḏ

When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices. And when the wrong perish, there is shouting.

“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you set-apart emissaries and prophets, for Elohim has completely avenged you on her!”
