And they say to Ě
They said to Ě
because they turned from following Him, and they regarded not all His ways,
And no one says, ‘Where is Eloah my Maker, who gives songs in the night,
He has said in his heart, “Ě
In the pride of his face The wrongdoer does not seek Him, In all his thoughts there is no Elohim!
“For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘They are a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’
“How long, you simple ones, Would you love simplicity, And shall scoffers delight in their scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?
“Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of יהוה,
The fear of יהוה is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and discipline.
“Turn aside from the way, swerve from the path, cause the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
“O generation, see the word of יהוה! Have I been a wilderness to Yisra’ĕ
“You live in the midst of deceit; through deceit they have refused to know Me,” declares יהוה.
The wicked foe has pulled all of them up with a hook, caught them in his net, and gathers them in his dragnet. Therefore he rejoices and exults.
And when he saw יהושע, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, יהושע, Son of the Most High Elohim? I beg You, do not torture me!”
And all the crowd of the neighbourhood of the Gaḏ
And even as they did not think it worth- while to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper,
Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able,
