An evil man is ensnared by transgression, But the righteous sings and rejoices.

The wrong one is entrapped In his own crookednesses, And he is caught in the cords of his sin.

Fear and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.

And it shall be that he who flees from the noise of the fear falls into the pit, and he who comes up from the midst of the pit is caught in the snare. For the windows from on high shall be opened, and the foundations of the earth be shaken.

“Thus said the Master יהוה, ‘And I shall spread My net over you with an assembly of many peoples, and they shall bring you up in My net.

And he should even have a good witness from those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

But those wishing to be rich fall into trial and a snare, and into many foolish and injurious lusts which plunge men in ruin and destruction.

and they come to their senses, out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his desire.
