And You have plucked me, and it is a witness. And my failure rises up against me, it bears witness to my face.
You renew Your witnesses against me, and increase Your vexation toward me; changes and a host are with me.
And from sorrow my eye has grown dim, and all my members are like shadows.
My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
His flesh wastes away, and his bones which were not seen stick out.
And He gave them their request, But sent leanness within their being.
My knees are weak through fasting, And my flesh grows lean from fatness.
Therefore the Master, יהוה of hosts, sends leanness among his fat ones. And under his esteem he kindles a burning like the burning of a fire.
From the ends of the earth we shall hear songs, “Splendour to the Righteous One!” But I say, “I waste away, I waste away! Woe to me! The treacherous betray, with treachery the treacherous betray.”
in order to present it to Himself a splendid assembly, not having spot or wrinkle or any of this sort, but that it might be set-apart and blameless.
“I went out filled, and יהוה has brought me back empty. Why do you call me Naʽ
