“And even he who is brave, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, would utterly melt. For all Yisra’ĕ

And it shall be in that day that יהוה  sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ě

Therefore all hands go limp, every man’s heart melts,

‘Where are the mighty ones of Ḥ

‘Where is the sovereign of Ḥ

But the wrong are like the troubled sea, for it is unable to rest, and its waters cast up mud and dirt.

“For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Retsin. And within sixty-five years Ephrayim is to be broken as a people.

But the armyof the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Tsiḏ

“Damascus was your merchant because of the multitude of your works, because of your great wealth of goods, with the wine of Ḥ

Pass over to Kalneh and see, and from there go to Ḥ

She is empty, even emptiness and waste! And the heart has melted, and the knees have knocked together, and much pain is in all loins, and all their faces have become flushed.

“But my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I followed יהוה  my Elohim completely.

“And when we heard, our hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in anyone because of you, for יהוה  your Elohim, He is Elohim in the heavens above and on earth beneath.
