And by your sword you are to live, and serve your brother. And it shall be, when you grow restless, that you shall break his yoke from your neck.”

And he exiled all Yerushalayim, and all the officers and all the mighty brave men – ten thousand exiles – and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.

For You shall break the yoke of his burden and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Miḏ

The cities of the South shall be shut up, with no one to open them. Yehuḏ

“For of old you have broken your yoke and tore of your bonds. And you said, ‘I am not serving You,’ when on every high hill and under every green tree you lay down, a whore.

Do not weep for the dead, nor mourn for him. Weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he shall never come back nor see the land of his birth.

“As I live,” declares יהוה, “though Konyahu son of Yehoyaqim, sovereign of Yehuḏ

יהוה  showed me, and look, there were two baskets of figs set before the Hĕ

“Thus said יהוה, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕ

‘And it shall be, the nation and reign that do not serve Neḇ

“Thus spoke יהוה  of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕ

And these are the words of the letter which Yirmeyah the prophet sent from Yerushalayim to the rest of the elders of the exile, and to the priests, and to the prophets and to all the people whom Neḇ

‘And it shall be in that day,’ declares יהוה  of hosts, ‘that I break his yoke from your neck, and tear off your bonds, and foreigners no more enslave them.

‘I am יהוה  your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from being their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk upright.

“So now I break his yoke from you, and tear off your shackles.”
