You have let men ride at our head; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to plenty.

“When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through rivers, they do not overflow you. When you walk through fire, you are not scorched, and a flame does not burn you.

“And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Yerushalayim shall be trampled underfoot by the gentiles until the times of the gentiles are filled.

Beloved ones, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that is coming upon you, to try you, as though some unusual matter has befallen you,

And he smote them hip and thigh, a great slaughter, and went down and dwelt in the cleft of the rock of Ě

Then Sha’ul hurled the spear, for he said, “Let me smite Dawiḏ

and Sha’ul sought to smite the spear through Dawiḏ
