“Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward.

and of the Danites, arranging battle, twenty-eight thousand six hundred;

“Dan rightly rules his people as one of the tribes of Yisra’ĕ

“I have waited for your deliverance, O יהוה!

In the end it bites like a snake, And stings like an adder –

If the snake bites without enchantment, then ‘the master of the tongue’ is no better!
