‘An end has come, the end has come! It has awakened against you, look, it has come!
‘See, I am watching over them for evil and not for good. And all the men of Yehuḏ
They have hunted our steps From going in our streets. Our end was near, Our days were completed, For our end had come.

‘And to you, O profane, wrong one, leader of Yisra’ĕ

‘See, the day! See, it has come! The turn has come, the rod has blossomed, pride has budded.
‘Now the end is upon you, and I shall send My displeasure against you, and judge you according to your ways, and repay you for all your abominations.
‘The turn has come to you, O inhabitants of the land. The time has come, a day of uproar is near, and not of rejoicing in the mountains.
And He said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” And יהוה said to me, “The end has come upon my people Yisra’ĕ
“O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” declares יהוה of hosts. “Smite the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones.
