“Of the land this is his possession in Yisra’ĕ
“And the prince does not take any of the people’s inheritance by evicting them from their possession. He is to give his sons their inheritance from his own possession, so that none of My people are separated from his possession.” ’ ”
“Her leaders in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy lives, and to get greedy gain.
“See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall raise for Dawiḏ
Thus Yehoshua took the entire land, according to all that יהוה had said to Mosheh. And Yehoshua gave it as an inheritance to Yisra’ĕ
“The remnant of Yisra’ĕ
‘And he knew their widows, and laid waste their cities. And the land and all who filled it was stunned by the noise of his roaring.
‘And she brought up one of her cubs, and he became a young lion. And he learned to tear the prey, he devoured men.
“But your eyes and your heart are only upon your own greedy gain, and on shedding innocent blood, and on oppression and on doing violence.”
A leader who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, But the hater of greed prolongs his days.
But you have shown disrespect towards the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?
And when they had ended dividing the land as an inheritance according to their borders, the children of Yisra’ĕ
