So He brought me there, and look, a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, and a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he stood in the gateway.

As the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he made me pass over into water, water to the ankles.

And I looked and saw a likeness, like the appearance of fire. From His waist and downward the appearance was like fire, and from His waist and upward the appearance of brightness, like glowing metal.

and His feet like burnished brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.

And a reed like a measuring rod was given to me, and the messenger stood, saying, “Rise and measure the Dwelling Place of Elohim, and the altar, and those worshipping in it.

And he who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod, to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall.
