And Mosheh went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And it came to be that Mosheh was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

“When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread nor did I drink water.


“And I stayed in the mountain for forty days and forty nights. And ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  heard me at that time also, and ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  chose not to destroy you.


And he was there with ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  forty days and forty nights. He did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the Words of the covenant, the Ten Words.


“So I fell down before ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  the forty days and forty nights, for I fell down because ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  had said He would destroy you.


“and I fell down before ื™ื”ื•ื”, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread and I did not drink water, because of all your sins which you committed in doing evil in the eyes of ื™ื”ื•ื”, to provoke Him.


being tried for forty days by the devil. And in those days He did not eat at all, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.


And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tried by Satan, and was with the wild beasts. And the messengers attended Him.


And after having fasted forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.


And he rose up and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Hฬฃ


And the appearance of the esteem of ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain, before the eyes of the children of Yisra’ฤ•


And ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  called Mosheh to the top of the mountain, and Mosheh went up.


And Mosheh went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to ื™ื”ื•ื”, and the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.


And Mosheh said to him, “As soon as I go out of the city, let me spread out my hands to ื™ื”ื•ื”, let the thunder cease and the hail be no more, so that you know that the earth belongs to ื™ื”ื•ื”.


The wrong shall flee though no one pursues, But the righteous are as bold as a lion.


And ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  spoke to Mosheh, saying,


And when the people saw that Mosheh was so long in coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aharon, and said to him, “Arise, make us mighty ones who go before us. For this Mosheh, the man who brought us up out of the land of Mitsrayim, we do not know what has become of him.”


And He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before ื™ื”ื•ื”.” And see, ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  passed by, and a great and strong wind tearing the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  โ€“ ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake โ€“ ื™ื”ื•ื”ย  was not in the earthquake,


‘But you, stand here by Me, and let Me speak to you all the commands, and the laws, and the right-rulings which you are to teach them. And they shall do them in the land which I am giving them to possess.’
