who also tried to profane the Set-apart Place, and whom we seized, and wished to judge him according to our law,

“And they neither found me in the Set-apart Place disputing with anyone nor stirring up the crowd, either in the congregations or in the city.

“For you have brought these men here who are neither temple-robbers nor speaking evil of your female mighty one.

Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” The Yehuḏ

As they were shouting and tearing their garments, and throwing dust into the air,

but the commander Lysias came along and with much violence took him out of our hands,
