And Dawiḏ
and sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and called his name Yeḏ
And these were the names of those born to him in Yerushalayim: Shammua, and Shoḇ
“When your days are filled and you rest with your fathers, I shall raise up your seed after you, who comes from your inward parts, and shall establish his reign.
But he did not invite Nathan the prophet, or Benayahu, or the mighty men, or Shelomoh his brother.
Nathan then spoke to Bathsheḇ
And these were born to him in Yerushalayim: Shimʽ
“Did not Shelomoh sovereign of Yisra’ĕ
For I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the eyes of my mother,
And Yishai brought forth Dawiḏ
Of Binyamin he said, “Let the beloved of יהוה dwell in safety by Him, shielding him all the day, as he dwells between His shoulders.”
