‘Who smote Aḇ
And the men of the city came out and fought with Yo’aḇ
then it shall be, if the sovereign’s wrath rises and he says to you, ‘Why did you go so near to the city when you fought? Did you not know that they would shoot from the wall?
And the messenger went, and came and reported to Dawiḏ
Thus Aḇ
“Your hands were not bound nor your feet put into shackles. As one falls before sons of evil, so you fell.” And all the people wept over him again.
“Deliver me from all my transgressions; Do not make me the reproach of the foolish.
“All of them respond and say to you, ‘Have you also become as weak as we? Have you become like us?
So that day he called him Yerubbaʽ
