“I am distressed for you, my brother Yehonathan. You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was wondrous, Surpassing the love of women.

And Yehonathan again made Dawiḏ

And Yehonathan, Sha’ul’s son, arose and went to Dawiḏ

And as soon as the youth had gone, Dawiḏ

and Yehonathan declared to Dawiḏ

“How the mighty have fallen, And the weapons of battle perish!”

A man of many friends might come to ruin, But there is a Loving One Who sticks closer than a brother!
