The word of יהוה which came to Tsephanyah son of Kushi, son of Geḏ
to whom the word of יהוה came in the days of Yoshiyahu son of Amon, sovereign of Yehuḏ
“And I shall make youths their heads, and children shall rule over them.
Woe to you, O land, when your sovereign is a youth, and your rulers feast in the morning!
Out of the mouth of babes and infants You have founded strength, Because of Your adversaries, To put an end to enemy and avenger.
Menashsheh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Ḥ
Yeho’ash was seven years old when he began to reign.
And he cried out against the altar by the word of יהוה, and said, “O altar, altar! Thus said יהוה, ‘See, a son is to be born to the house of Dawiḏ
But the people of the land smote all those who had conspired against Sovereign Amon, and the people of the land set up his son Yoshiyahu to reign in his place.
And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. And his son Yoshiyahu reigned in his place.
“But see, if he has brought forth a son who sees all the sins which his father has done, but he fears and does not do likewise,
