Thus the word of Shemu’ĕ
And the Philistines gathered all their armies at Aphĕ
And Shemu’ĕ
And the Philistines took the ark of Elohim and brought it from Eḇ
And those that were left fled to Aphĕ
And יהוה said to Shemu’ĕ
And Ummah, and Aphĕ
and Yanim, and Bĕ
the sovereign of Aphĕ
on the south; all the land of the Kenaʽ
And the Philistines put themselves in battle array against Yisra’ĕ
Geḇ
“All of you are standing today before יהוה your Elohim: your leaders, your tribes, your elders and your officers, all the men of Yisra’ĕ
“And today you have rejected your Elohim, who Himself saved you out of all your evils and your distresses. And you have said to Him, ‘No, but set a sovereign over us!’ And now, present yourselves before יהוה by your tribes and by your clans.”
And it came to be, at the turn of the year, that Ben-Haḏ
