And when the Philistine looked about and saw Dawiḏ
Then he said, “If they have come out for peace, seize them alive. And if they have come out for battle, seize them alive.”
Before destruction comes pride, And before a fall a haughty spirit!
And he sent and brought him in. And he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And יהוה said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is the one!”
And Sha’ul said to Dawiḏ
And the Philistine came, and began drawing near to Dawiḏ
