And it came to be at the end of three years, that two slaves of Shimʽ
And Shelomoh was told that Shimʽ
He who is greedy for gain, troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes lives.
And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, by longing for it, have strayed from the belief, and pierced themselves through with many pains.
