And Aḇ
and He shall give Yisra’ĕ
and Sovereign Yeho’ash called Yehoyaḏ
“Be strong, and let us show strength for our people and for the cities of our Elohim, and let יהוה do what is good in His eyes.”
But the sovereign’s word prevailed against Yo’aḇ
יהוה give you increase more and more, You and your children.
“When you take the census of the children of Yisra’ĕ
And Mosheh said to Aharon, “What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”
In a multitude of people Is a sovereign’s splendour, But in the lack of people Is the ruin of a prince.
You shall increase the nation, O יהוה, You shall increase the nation; You are esteemed; You shall expand all the borders of the land.
“And your seed would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your inward parts like the grains of sand. His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.
‘יהוה Elohim of your fathers is going to add to you a thousand times more than you are, and bless you as He has spoken to you!
And they came to the children of Re’uḇ
“No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear: making the people of יהוה transgress.
