And these were the numbers of the chiefs of those that were armed for battle, and came to Dawiḏ

And these were the heads of the mighty men whom Dawiḏ

And יהוה said to Shemu’ĕ

“And you shall invite Yishai to the slaughtering, then let Me show you what to do. And you shall anoint for Me the one I say to you.”

“But I, I have set My Sovereign on Tsiyon, My set-apart mountain.”

and did not inquire of יהוה. So He put him to death, and turned the reign over to Dawiḏ

“And now, do it! For יהוה has spoken of Dawiḏ

Of the children of Yehuḏ
