They will all fade away one day like worn-out clothing, ready to be discarded, but you’ll still be here. You will replace it all! Your first creation will be changed, but you alone will endure, the God of all eternity!

The heavenly powers will fade away to nothing, and the heavens will be rolled up like a scroll. All their mighty host will wither as leaves fall from a withered vine or fruit from a withering fig tree.

Even if the mountains were to crumble and the hills disappear, my heart of steadfast, faithful love will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken,” says Yahweh, whose love and compassion will never give up on you.

We see it now. Our idolatrous worship on the high places and our noisy commotion on the mountains were nothing but delusions. Only you, Yahweh our God, can save us.

I have become your enemy,” says Yahweh, “O mountain of destruction, destroyer of the whole world! I will unleash my power against you, send you tumbling to the ground, and turn you into a mountain of soot and ashes.

The fish in the sea and the birds of heaven, animals large and small, and all people on earth will be terrified and tremble at my presence. Mountains will tumble, cliffs crumble, and all the walls will collapse.

The day of the Lord will come and take everyone by surprise—as unexpected as a home invasion. The atmosphere will be set on fire and vanish with a horrific roar, and the heavenly bodies will melt away as in a tremendous blaze. The earth and every activity of man will be laid bare.

Every island fled away and the mountains were no more.

Then I saw a great, dazzling-white throne and the One who sits on it. Heaven and earth fled from his presence and they were no more.

Then in a vision I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed.
