O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God, even the sparrows and swallows are welcome to build a nest among your altars to raise their young.

Now I can say to myself and to all, “Relax and rest, be confident and serene, for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in him.”

Day and night my tears keep falling and my heart keeps crying for your help, while my enemies mock me over and over, saying, “Where is this God of yours? Why doesn’t he help you?”

Then I will come closer to your very altar until I come before you, the God of my ecstatic joy! I will praise you with the harp that plays in my heart to you, my God, my magnificent God!

Don’t you hear how I’m crying out to you? My King and my God, consider my every word, for I am calling out to you.

Lord, you have always been our eternal home, our hiding place from generation to generation.

When you abide under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High.
