Chase them away—all these God-haters. Blow them away as a puff of smoke. Melt them away like wax in the fire. One good look at you and the wicked vanish.

Now I’m completely exhausted. Every joint of my body has been pulled apart. My courage has melted away.

All the enemies of God will perish. For the wicked have only a momentary value, a fading glory. Then one day they vanish! Here today, gone tomorrow.

No wonder you are greatly feared! You are the awe-inspiring God! For who could ever stand before your face when your fierce anger burns and live to tell about it.

Enemies chopped down our vine and set it on fire; now show them your anger and let them perish by your frown.

Mountains melt away like wax in a fire when the Lord of all the earth draws near.

The nations retreat at the sound of your roaring voice. The nations scatter as you arise in your majesty.

In the same way that fire sets kindling to blaze and causes water to boil, let the fire of your presence come down. Reveal to your enemies your mighty name and cause the nations to tremble before you!

Surely wickedness burned like an out-of-control fire, consuming thorns and thistles. It set ablaze the thickets of the forest with flames swirling upward in columns of smoke.

Why has your mighty god Apis fled? Why did your bull-idol topple over? Yahweh, the true God, has overthrown him.
