Awaken, O God of Israel! Commander of Angel Armies, arise to punish these treacherous people who oppose you! Don’t go soft on these hard-core killers! Pause in his presence

All the people gather around you. Return to your place on high to preside over them.

O God, the mighty Commander of Angel Armies, how much longer will you smolder in anger? How much longer will you be disgusted with your people even when they pray?

Hear my cry, O God of Heaven’s Armies! God of Jacob, listen to my loving prayer. Pause in his presence

For the nations get trapped in the very snares they set for others. The hidden trap they set for the weak has snapped shut upon themselves!

Hear the word of Yahweh: “You leaders of Sodom, heed the correction of our God! People of Gomorrah, you’d better listen to his rebuke.”

The trees are withered and stripped bare, and their women gather dead branches for firewood, because they are a people of no understanding. That is why their Maker will show them no compassion, and he who formed them will show them no favor.

Yet, you know, Yahweh, all their plots to kill me. Do not pardon their sin or blot out their guilt! Let them stumble before you. Deal with them severely in the time of your anger.”

All the officials of your kingdom—your high officials, administrators, advisers, and governors—we are all agreed that by royal decree the following prohibition should be enforced strictly: for thirty days, no one is to pray to any god or man except to you, O king; otherwise, he must be thrown into the lions’ den.

Clearly, God has not failed to fulfill his promises to Israel, for that will never happen! But not everyone who has descended from Israel belongs to Israel.

and remember that judgment is merciless for the one who judges others without mercy. So by showing mercy, you take dominion over judgment!
