Then I will come closer to your very altar until I come before you, the God of my ecstatic joy! I will praise you with the harp that plays in my heart to you, my God, my magnificent God!

I will sing and greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My whole being vibrates with shouts of joy in my God! For he has dressed me with salvation and wrapped me in the robe of his righteousness! I appear like a bridegroom on his wedding day, decked out with a beautiful sash, or like a radiant bride adorned with sparkling jewels.

Awake, O my soul, with the music of his splendor-song! Arise, my soul, and sing his praises! My worship will awaken the dawn, greeting the daybreak with my songs of praise!

Play the guitar as you lift your praises loaded with thanksgiving. Sing and make joyous music with all you’ve got inside.

Let the celebration begin! I will sing with drum accompaniment and with the sweet sound of the harp and guitar strumming.

Here I am depressed and downcast. Yet I will still remember you as I ponder the place where your glory streams down from the mighty mountaintops, lofty and majestic—the mountains of your awesome presence.

When I come to your altar, Yahweh, I’ll be clean before you, approaching with songs of thanksgiving, singing songs of your mighty miracles.

And even more than that, we overflow with triumphant joy in our new relationship of living reconciled to God—all because of Jesus Christ!

And when the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures saw the Lamb had taken the scroll, they fell facedown at the feet of the Lamb and worshiped him. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls brimming full of sweet fragrant incense—which are the prayers of God’s holy lovers.

Wherever I go, I will thank you, my God. Among all the nations they will hear my praise songs to you.

I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory.
