Your glory-kingdom, O God, endures forever, for you are enthroned to rule with a justice-scepter in your hand!

God’s glory-light shines out of the Zion-realm with the radiance of perfect beauty.

He chose instead the tribe of Judah and Mount Zion, which he loves.

I am setting him apart, favoring him as my firstborn son. I will make him the most high king in all the earth!

See! I made him a witness to the nations, an example of leadership, as prince and commander of peoples.”

Lord Yahweh says: “I will take the highest branch from a cedar tree. I will break off from the very top a tender shoot and plant it myself on a high and lofty mountain.

“In the days of those kings of iron and clay, the God of heaven will set up an eternal kingdom that will never be destroyed nor ruled by other people. It will shatter and bring all other kingdoms to an end, and it will stand forever!

Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me.

And he alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the church. God has put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and has given him the highest rank above all others.

By contrast, we have already come near to God in a totally different realm, the Zion-realm, for we have entered the city of the Living God, which is the New Jerusalem in heaven! We have joined the festal gathering of myriads of angels in their joyous celebration!

Then I looked, and behold—there was the young Lamb standing on Mount Zion and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
