I consider your Word to be my greatest treasure, and I treasure it in my heart to keep me from committing sin’s treason against you.

Following your word has kept me from wrong. Your ways have molded my footsteps, keeping me from going down the paths of the violent.

Come, children of God, and listen to me. I’ll share the lesson I’ve learned of fearing the Lord:

When peer pressure compels you to go with the crowd and sinners invite you to join in, you must simply say, “No!”

These proverbs will give you great skill to teach the immature and make them wise, to give youth the understanding of their design and destiny.

If you choose to follow good counsel, divine design will watch over you and understanding will protect you from making poor choices.

Listen to my correction, my sons, for I speak to you as your father. Let discernment enter your heart and you will grow wise with the understanding I impart.

I noticed among the mindless crowd a simple, naïve young man who was about to go astray.

Shortly afterward, the younger son packed up all his belongings and traveled off to see the world. He journeyed to a far-off land where he soon wasted all he was given in a binge of extravagant and reckless living.

The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you.

Run as fast as you can from all the ambitions and lusts of youth; and chase after all that is pure. Whatever builds up your faith and deepens your love must become your holy pursuit. And live in peace with all those who worship our Lord Jesus with pure hearts.

You must remain very strong and courageous! Be faithful to obey all the teaching that my servant Moses commanded you to follow. Do not deviate from him to the right or to the left, so that you will have overwhelming success in everything you undertake.
