Wealth quickly gained is quickly wasted — easy come, easy go! But if you gradually gain wealth, you will watch it grow.

The virtues of God’s lovers shine brightly in the darkness, but the flickering lamp of the ungodly will be extinguished.

Don’t be one who is quick to quarrel, for an argument is hard to stop, and you never know how it will end, so don’t even start down that road!

Listen well to wise counsel and be willing to learn from correction so that by the end of your life you’ll be known for your wisdom.

If you solicit good advice, then your plans will succeed. So don’t charge into battle without wisdom, for wars are won by skillful strategy.

An arrogant man is inflated with pride— nothing but a snooty scoffer in love with his own opinion. Mr. Mocker is his name!

Don’t be hasty to file a lawsuit. By starting something you wish you hadn’t, you could be humiliated when you lose your case.

To make rash, hasty decisions shows that you are not trusting the Lord. But when you rely totally on God, you will still act carefully and prudently.

The disciples bickered over which one of them would be considered the greatest in the kingdom.

They are covered with the clouds of conceit. They are loaded with controversy, and they love to argue their opinions and split hairs. The fruit of their ministry is contention, competition, and evil suspicions.

What is the cause of your conflicts and quarrels with each other? Doesn’t the battle begin inside of you as you fight to have your own way and fulfill your own desires?

And everyone who saw this horrible display, cried out, “Never have we seen such brutality take place from the day we came up from the land of Egypt to this day. We need to decide what we should do about this!”
