The wicked are shameless and stubborn, but the lovers of God have a holy confidence.

Every violent thug is despised by the Lord, but every tender lover finds friendship with God and will hear his intimate secrets.

Their twisted thoughts are perverse, and they are always scheming to stir up trouble, and sowing strife with every step they take.

Wisdom pours into you when you begin to hate every form of evil in your life, for that’s what worship and fearing God is all about. Then you will discover that your pompous pride and perverse speech are the very ways of wickedness that I hate!”

If you try to correct an arrogant cynic, expect an angry insult in return. And if you try to confront an evil man, don’t be surprised if all you get is a slap in the face!
