When Jesus overheard this, he spoke up and said, “Healthy people don’t need to see a doctor, but the sick will go for treatment.”

Jesus overheard their complaining and said, “Who goes to the doctor for a cure? Those who are well or those who are sick?

Crowds soon found out about it and took off after him. When they caught up with Jesus, he graciously welcomed them all, taught them more about God’s kingdom, and healed all who were sick.

But when Jesus overheard their complaint, he said to them, “Who goes to the doctor for a cure? Those who are well or those who are sick? I have not come to call the ‘righteous,’ but those who are sinners and bring them to repentance.”

“Nevertheless, I will heal them, restore them, and give them prosperity and lasting peace.

Yahweh, you alone are my praise. Heal me, and I will be perfectly healed; save me, and I will be completely saved.

He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.

For I, Yahweh, say to you who were once called ‘Outcast,’ I will heal your wounds. And to you who were once called ‘Forgotten Zion,’ I will restore your health.”

In the crowd that day was a woman who had suffered greatly for twelve years from slow bleeding. Even though she had spent all that she had on healers, she was still suffering.

So in my sickness I say to you, “Lord, be my kind healer. Heal my body and soul; heal me, God! For I have confessed my sins to you.”

Please deal gently with me, Yahweh; show me mercy, for I’m sick and frail and weak. Heal me, Yahweh, for I’m falling apart.

Is there no healer in Gilead? Is there no medicine there? Why then have the people I love not been healed?

And Luke, the beloved physician, sends his warm greetings to you, and Demas also.
