When the disciples saw this, they were offended. “What a total waste!” they grumbled.

But some were highly indignant when they saw this, and they complained to one another, saying, “What a total waste!

The other ten disciples were listening to all of this, and a jealous anger arose among them against the two brothers.

“We could have sold it for a great deal of money and given it to the poor.”
