The Passion Translation

Rather love your enemies and continue to treat them well. When you lend money, don’t despair if you are never paid back, for it is not lost. You will receive a rich reward and you will be known as true children of the Most High God, having his same nature. Be like your Father who is famous for his kindness to heal even the thankless and cruel.

Life is good for the one who is generous and charitable, conducting affairs with honesty and truth.

God, everyone sees your goodness, for your tender love is blended into everything you do.

Instead, I’ve found the godly ones to be the generous ones who give freely to others. Their children are blessed and become a blessing.

Then everyone will say, “There is a God who judges the judges” and “There is a great reward in loving God!”

People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly.
