Give the signal to attack Babylon’s walls! Post sentries and reinforce the guards! Prepare a surprise attack! Yahweh has done what he said he would do to the people of Babylon.

All your brilliant wisdom and clever insight will be of no help at all if the Lord is against you.

He will lift up a banner among the nations and will gather the scattered Jews, and assemble the outcasts of Israel from the four corners of the earth.

“Raise high a signal flag on a barren hilltop! Shout out! Beckon my armies to invade the gates of the nobles,

Yahweh’s anger will not relent until he has perfectly carried out what he has in mind. In the latter days, you will clearly understand this.”

I, Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, had a work to do in Babylon, So, I opened my armory and brought out the mighty weapons of my wrath.

Yahweh has stirred up a spirit of hostility in the king of the Medes because Yahweh’s plan is to destroy Babylon. This is Yahweh’s revenge for destroying his temple. “Sharpen the arrows; fill up your quivers!

“Raise up a signal flag throughout the world; sound the war trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations to attack her! Assemble the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, Ashkenaz to make war against her. Appoint a commanding officer to lead her enemies in battle; send multitudes of horsemen like swarms of locusts.

Then, when Yahweh executed his plan against Babylon, the earth trembled and convulsed. He determined to make Babylon an uninhabited desert.

Yahweh has done everything he planned and has carried out his word. As he ordained long ago, he has destroyed without pity. He increased the power of your foes and caused your enemies to rejoice over you.

At dawn, when the king of Ai saw the Israelites, he and his army rushed out to fight. They ran to attack Israel at a predetermined place en route to the Arabah, not knowing that an ambush had been set against them behind the city.
