Instead, Johanan and his military leaders gathered up everyone left in Judah who had come back from all the nations where they had been scattered.

But since we ceased offering incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have been destitute, and our people have died either by sword or by starvation.

My flock has wandered aimlessly over every hill and mountain over the face of the earth, and no one went to look for them or tried to find them.
