Yahweh says, “When my children have increased and prospered in the land, then no one will mention the ark of the covenant of Yahweh. It will never even come to mind. No one will remember it, miss it, or make another one.

I will multiply the least of you into a thousand and the weakest one into a mighty nation. I am Yahweh, and when the right time comes, I will accomplish it swiftly!”

They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations.

“Look! I am creating entirely new heavens and a new earth! They will be so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore!

When that day comes, they will call Jerusalem the throne of Yahweh. All nations will be drawn there to be in the presence of Yahweh. They will no longer stubbornly follow their own evil hearts.

Out of them will be heard the joyous songs of thanksgiving and the raucous shouts of joy. I will cause them to flourish and not diminish. I will bring them honor, and they will not be humiliated.

“Look, the days are coming,” Yahweh declares, “when I will repopulate the land of Israel and Judah with both people and livestock.

Watch, as I bring them back from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth. Even the blind and the lame will be among them. Expectant mothers, women about to give birth, will come and be a part of that great homecoming.

Don’t fool yourselves by trusting the deceptive words, saying: “The temple of Yahweh is here, the temple of Yahweh is here, the temple of Yahweh is here, so we are safe.”

Even while it was intact, you could make nothing with it. When it’s burned and charred, it’s even more worthless.”

I will make my eternal covenant of peace with them. I will resettle them, and I will bless them and multiply them. I will establish my sanctuary among them forever.
