Jeremiah 26:2

The Passion Translation

Yahweh said to me, “Stand in the court of my house, the temple, and announce what I tell you to say to the crowds coming to worship me from the cities of Judah. Do not leave out anything or hold back a word.

“Jeremiah, get yourself ready! Arise with fresh courage and say to them all that I command you to say. Do not break down before them, lest I break you before them.

But Yahweh interrupted me: “Do not use your youth as an excuse, for you will go wherever I send you, and you will speak whatever I tell you to say.

When Jeremiah returned from Topheth, where Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, he stood in the court of Yahweh’s temple and said to all the people:

Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let the one who has my word speak my word faithfully. For what do straw and grain have in common?” declares Yahweh.

Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and Jerusalem, saying:

Then Jeremiah the prophet replied to Hananiah the prophet in front of the priests and all the people who had come to worship at the temple of Yahweh.

Then, while all the people were listening in the temple, Baruch publicly read from the scroll everything that I had said. He did this from the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan, the king’s royal scribe. His room was in the upper courtyard near the entrance of the New Gate of the temple.

“Very well then,” I replied. “I will take your request to Yahweh your God and tell you whatever answer he gives me, and I will keep nothing back from you.”

“Go stand at the gate of Yahweh’s house and proclaim this word: ‘Hear this word from Yahweh, all you people of Judah who come through these gates to worship him.

“And when you tell them all this, they will not hear you. You will call to them, but they won’t respond to you.

Then he said, “Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart everything I say to you,

“Son of man, I have appointed you as watchman for the people of Israel. When you hear me speak a warning, give them my warning.

The shining man said to me, “Son of man, look closely and listen carefully. Pay close attention to everything I show you, for I have brought you here to reveal these things to you. You must tell the people of Israel everything you see.”

And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

From then on Jesus continued teaching in the temple area, but the high priests, the experts of the law, and the prominent men of the city kept trying to find a strategy to accuse Jesus, for they wanted him dead.

Jesus answered Annas’ questions by saying, “I have said nothing in secret. At all times I have taught openly and publicly in a synagogue, in the temple courts, and wherever the people assemble.

Then at dawn Jesus appeared in the temple courts again, and soon all the people gathered around to listen to his words, so he sat down and taught them.

You know how I’ve taught you in public meetings and in your homes, and that I’ve not held anything back from you that would help you grow.

because I’ve taught you everything I could about God’s eternal plan and I’ve held nothing back.

Someone came and informed them, “The men you put in prison are out there standing in the temple courts, teaching the people!”

And nothing stopped them! They kept preaching every day in the temple courts and went from house to house, preaching the gospel of Jesus, God’s Anointed One!

Joshua read aloud every word that Moses had commanded, and all the assembly of Israel heard it, including the women, the children, and the foreigners who accompanied them.

And if anyone subtracts from the prophetic words of this book, God will remove his portion from the Tree of Life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
