Go ahead, set a trap for others— and then watch as it snaps back on you! Start a landslide and you’ll be the one who gets crushed.

Your country is devastated and your cities burned to the ground; foreigners plunder your crops before your eyes— with nothing but devastation and destruction in their wake!

“See? Your ruins and devastated places will soon be overcrowded with settlers while your destroyers stay far away.

He answered me, “The guilt of the people of Israel and Judah is enormous. The land is full of bloodshed, and Jerusalem full of perverted justice. They say, ‘Yahweh can’t see us! He has abandoned the nation.’

Who would ever want to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Is that something you think you’re strong enough to endure?

He comes to execute judgment against them all and to convict each one of them for their ungodly deeds and for all the terrible words that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
