That’s not who you are—one who would slay the righteous with the wicked, treating them both the same way! Wouldn’t the Merciful Judge of all the earth always do what is right?”

Go ahead and punish them as they deserve. Let them be paid back for all their evil plans in proportion to their wickedness.

“All the love you need is found in me!” And it’s true that you repay people for what they do.

now you will eat the bitter fruit of your own ways. You’ve made your own bed; now lie in it! So how do you like that?

If the righteous are barely saved, what’s in store for all the wicked?

For there is great satisfaction in speaking the truth, and hard work brings blessings back to you.

Go ahead, set a trap for others— and then watch as it snaps back on you! Start a landslide and you’ll be the one who gets crushed.

“I will bring punishment to the world for its evil and to the wicked for their sins. I will shatter the arrogance of the proud, and will humble the pride of the high and mighty.

“There is never peace,” Yahweh says, “for the wicked.”

No baby will die in infancy there, and everyone will live out their full lifespan. For when centenarians die, they will be considered youngsters, and anyone who dies earlier will be considered of no account.

Their verdict is determined before me, and I will not keep silent: ‘I will repay them for what they have done; I will pay them back for what their sins deserve,

for both their sins and the sins of their fathers. Because they burned incense on the high places and blasphemed me on the hills, I will punish them severely, as their actions deserve,’ ” says Yahweh.

If I say to the wicked, ‘Evildoers, you are about to die,’ and you fail to warn them to renounce their evil ways, they will die for their guilt, but I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

For one day we will all be openly revealed before Christ on his throne so that each of us will be duly recompensed for our actions done in life, whether good or worthless.

and remember that judgment is merciless for the one who judges others without mercy. So by showing mercy, you take dominion over judgment!

God also punished the Shechemites for all their wickedness. That day, the curse of Jotham son of Baal-Fighter was fulfilled.
