An undeserved curse will be powerless to harm you. It may flutter over you like a bird, but it will find no place to land.

Like a bird that has fallen from its nest is the one who is dislodged from his home.

Like a hunted gazelle, each will return to his own people, and like sheep with no one to gather them, each will flee to his native land.

They answer, ‘Moab is humiliated. Weep and cry for Moab, for she has been defeated!’ Announce the news beside the Arnon River: ‘Moab is devastated.’

Woe to you, O Moab! The people who worshiped Chemosh are gone, for your sons have been taken captive and your daughters into exile.

Give Moab wings so she can fly away. Her cities will be empty and desolate with no one living in them.
